TAJÉ’S TIPS – TIPS & TRICKS FOR GETTING IN SHAPE NOW!

by

Hey Fitfam!! Summer is approaching pretty fast! Faster than any of us thought I’m sure! Thank God for keeping us thus far. As you may have already considered, now is the time to get back on track if you haven’t started prepping your summer body!

Here’s 10 steps to help you get going

1. Start now! – Don’t wait till the weekend, or Monday or some perfect time! Set reasonable goals and stick to them (and tell yourself you’ll be committed this time).

2. Drink water – drink it like you’re getting paid; because you are. Your body looking banging by summer is all the payment you’ll need.

3. Plan each meal – everything you put into your mouth should be considered. Always ask yourself, “Are these calories worth it?”. I live by this one; I’d be much bigger otherwise as a foodie concerned.

4. Eat! – don’t end up overeating to make up for not eating when you should have. Don’t starve yourself, eat regularly, ideally 4 – 6 times a day, and healthily with small meals, fruit and vegetables.

5. Remember – constantly remind yourself how far you’ve come cause it makes it clearer for you to see you’re getting closer to your goal.

6. Move! – work out like you mean it. Sweat till it’s ugly! You’ll feel great after and you can brag about training dirty.

7. Don’t be discouraged. Don’t let a bad week turn into a bad month.

8. Revisit – Keeping track of what you eat will help you make better decisions. Revisit your food journal and repeat a good week.

9. Eat your Vegetables – I’ve said time and again that vegetables are your pal because they really are! Way too many benefits for your body for you to skip them.

10. Repeat this tomorrow and the day after that and the day after than one too and that one also.

Start Today!

It starts With your Mind. Pysch yourself into it,

I promise you’ll love it.

Eat a healthy diet that includes two to three servings of vegetables and fruit, one to two servings of low-glycemic carbohydrates, one serving of protein and a single serving of healthy fat per meal. Low glycemic foods do not raise your blood sugar as high as high-glycemic foods do.

Tajé Prest: Health & Fitness Tip Of The Week – Staying Healthy On Holiday!

by
I know all too well how tough it is to stay healthy on holiday; at this very moment I am curled up in bed in my room in Ghana, thinking of how I need to avoid trying all the different Ghanaian delicacies and drinks later today. Ghana is a very interesting place. I don’t think I can get over their accents! But I do love their food! So here are a few tricks I’m doing to stay healthy while I’m out here and you could do too.

Pack your gym outfits, at least two. If you skip exercising the first day your gym clothes will haunt you every morning when you try to pick an outfit for the day and you’ll eventually have to give in.

Drink as much water as possible, at least 1.5litres. This keeps you hydrated and washes away all the toxins you put in your body from all the ‘tastes’ and ‘tries’ you may have during the day.
