The Do’s & Don’ts of Plus Size Jumpsuits & Rompers from The Curvy Stylist

Jumpsuits and rompers have been seen on the runway and on some of your favorite celebrities. This one-piece trend is no longer reserved for mechanics but for fashionistas with curves daring enough to give it a try. The look can dazzle others when dressed up or it can be effortlessly dressed down.

The Curvy Stylist, Sheri Collins gives us the do’s and dont’s of wearing plus size jumpsuits and/or rompers.

I wear my strapless black jersey jumpsuit with a leather jacket and high heels for a dressy look; or I dress it down with my denim shirt and sandals. Every single time I wear it I get tons of compliments. The most important thing to me is that it fits well from waist to crotch: no riding up in a camel toe or in the backside. So cut and sizing are very important. Go up a size if you must to get a proper fit. The fitting room is a requirement!
I also caution that the jumpsuit is made of a good quality jersey with some weight to it, so that it skims the body and doesn’t cling in all the wrong places or pills up if your thighs rub together. Qristyl Frazier Designs has a good one in a polyester jersey that has a faux wrap top and will most likely work for most girls. Monif C has one in a beautiful ponte knit that has a obi belt to accentuate the waist.
