Walmart has issued an apology as people are furious about "fat girl costumes" label on plus-size halloween clothing on their website.




The retailer's “rude” choice of words was first reported by Jezebel which ignited an outcry on social
media. A Jezebel reader tipped off to the wording when, while browsing plus-size costumes on Walmart.com. The labeling has since been removed from the site, and Walmart has since apologized.
Walmart issued an official apology statement to time.com

"This never should have been on our site," a spokesperson said. "It is unacceptable, and we apologize. We are working to remove it as soon as possible and ensure this never happens again."


Also, Walmart's Twitter replies are just a long list of apologies to many, many angry customers and individual users who have been complaining about the offensive label.
