Curvy Girl's Wedding #1 : Uju, Governor Rochas Daughter weds Uzoma

So over the weekend, there was a beautiful flamboyant wedding. But the exciting thing about this wedding is that it was a "curvy girls wedding". Dr Obianuju Vanstatia Okorocha wedded her soul-mate, Dr Uzoma Anthony Anwuka in a traditional and white wedding ceremonies held in her home town. Now am not about the dignitaries who attended the wedding because there were lots present. Why not, its a governor's daughters wedding for goodness sake. lol
I am more particular about the bride. She is a pretty, full-figure, curvy lady. Now about her
outfits for the day, she killed it in every aspect. In her first outing, she stepped out in a colorful native attire, beaded and beautifully made, with bead neckpiece, hair and Jigida accompanied by her curvy friends. I loved that attire but she looked absolutely radiant in her second outfit. The peach dress clustered with beads and stones, her head piece(scarf)... dame, that dress. And the fit... well, that why she is a curvy girl. I also love the many different outfits on display at that event.

Now about her white wedding dress, I would say that she is really a stylish girl. The wedding dress look very stunning on her and I like the fact that she chose an elegant sleeveless lace satin chapel train wedding dress that defined her shoulder and bust line. Her hair, she kept it simple and graceful. Mhen, I love weddings and the memories after. Absolutely love Obianuju,s wedding.
Indeed, a curvy girl's wedding always come with many exciting expectations and memories.

Oh... About the groom and his buddies, they also looked amazing in their outfit esp in the native attire.

When they arrive, the groom and few family members join the father of the bride in private and discuss the 'ima ego' or dowry. Once this is done and accepted, the bride dances out for the first time. Accompanied by her friends  in her native attire of 2 separate pieces of George wrapper (one for her waist and the other for her bust) she goes to greet her mother's people and goes back inside. Her second outfit is white blouse and George or damask or brocade which she uses to greet her father's people and she goes back inside. The third outing is usually in material similar to the grooms, this time, she is handed a cup of wine and told to find her husband and give it to him to drink. When she finds him, she kneels to give him the horn and waits for him to finish. Sometimes, the groom might lift his bride up and give the rest of the wine. This usually indicates he understands she is his help mate and is accompanied by much cheering. The couple then kneel before the parents for prayers and blessings. Then the party really begins.
